Barra North Bay Airport is located on the north coast of the Isle of Barra in the Outer Hebredies. Aircrfats started using the wide shallow bay of Traigh Mhor, near Barra's northern tip, as a runway in June 1933. Scheduled air services began to and from Barra Airport on 7th August 1936.
