Belfast International Airport is located 18 miles north west of Belfast. The Aldergrove complex, which includes Belfast International Airport, has been in existence since 1918. It was originally selected to be the Royal Flying Corps training establishment during the First World War. Today Belfast International Airport handles roughly 4 million passengers and has 40,000 aircraft movements per year. It is also the most technologically advanced airport in Northern Ireland.
