Donegal airport is locatd at Carrickfinn, Kincasslagh, at the top north-western corner of Ireland. The airport is approximately 15 minutes from Dungloe and Gweedore and about 45 minutes from Letterkenny. Services began from Donegal airport in 1986 when the runway was just a grass strip. During the 1990's the runway was replaced by a new hard surface and extended runway. A bright and modern terminal building was also built.
