Getting there by Car / Taxi

Islay airport is located in Glenegedale, on the south-west coast of Islay. It is situated very close to, and is easily accessible by, the A846. Taxis can be booked in advance.

Getting there by Bus / Coach

Buses around the island are operated by Islay Coaches. There are three main services to the airport from around the island (450, 451 and 456). Destinations include Port Ellen, Bowmore, Port Charlotte and Port Askaig ferry terminal amongst others. More details of these services can be obtained by contacting Traveline Scotland.

Getting there by Ferry

There are several Ferry services to Islay; from Kennacraig, Colonsay and Oban. These services are operated by Caledonian MacBrayne.
