Getting there by Car

London City Airport is situated 6 miles east of the City of London, about 15 minutes' drive, traffic permitting, from Tower Bridge, and a further 20-30 minutes from the West End. From outside London drive there via the M11/A11 (Junction 27 of the M25) or via the A12 (Junction 28 of the M25).

Getting there by Taxi

There is a licensed taxi rank (black cabs) directly outside the terminal building.

Getting there by Bus / Coach

A shuttle bus runs to the airport from Canning Town, Liverpool Street and Canary Wharf stations, every 5-7 minutes. The number 473 bus serves Stratford, Silvertown, North Woolwich, and Prince Regent Station and the 69 serves Silvertown, Canning Town (for Jubilee Line, Docklands Light Railway and Silverlink Metro), Stratford, Leytonstone and Walthamstow. The 474 bus serves Canning Town, North Woolwich and East Beckton via Silvertown.

Getting there by Train

The Jubilee Line on London Underground runs to Canning Town, from where there is a frequent shuttle bus straight to the airport. Liverpool Street station on the Hammersmith & City, Circle and Metropolitan Lines also runs a shuttle bus to the airport. DLR (Docklands Light Rail) runs trains to Canary Wharf where there is also a shuttle bus. Silverlink Metro runs overland trains every 30 minutes from North London to Canning Town.
