Getting there by Car / Taxi
Prestwick airport is situated close to Prestwick town centre, and is accessible from the A79. Whether travelling from the north or the south, the best way to approach Prestwick is using the A77, from which there are turnings for the A79. Alternatively, visitors to the airport could approach from the nearby town of Ayr - again using the A79. Taxis can be booked in advance.
Getting there by Bus / Coach
During the daytime, the X77 service runs every half an hour from the airport to Glasgow city centre. This service does not run at night; it is replaced by the X99 which runs last thing at night and first thing in the morning. Getting there by Train
There are regular train services (approx. every half an hour) from Glasgow central station to Prestwick airport. A large number of onward connections are available from Glasgow station - including London Euston (sleeper service) and Edinburgh Waverley. Contact National Rail for train travel information.
