Getting there by Car / Taxi

Shannon International airport is close to Limerick, just to the north-west of the town. Limerick can be accessed using the N7 from the north-east, the N24 from the east and the N20 from the south and west. From Limerick, Shannon airport is accessible by following the N18 west and turning off onto the N19, from which the airport is signposted. There is a 24 hour taxi desk in the arrivals hall from which you can book taxis.

Getting there by Bus / Coach

There are regular services between Limerick and Shannon airport (approx. every half hour), and services roughly every hour between Shannon airport and Ennis. There are hourly buses from Shannon airport to Dublin. From Limerick and Ennis there are a number of services to Galway, Cork, Dublin and Derry. For more details of timetables contact Bus Eireann.

Getting there by Train

There are regular services from Shannon airport to Limerick. Once in Limerick there are regular trains to Dublin. Details of times can be obtained by contacting Irish National Rail.
